During the month of March, we are offering a free simple Will with the purchase of a complete Estate Plan.  And if you need a more complex Will (for example, one that contains testamentary trusts), we will deduct the cost of the simple Will and you will only be charged for the 'add on'.

Most people think that an Estate Plan begins and ends with a Will, but they are wrong.

Sure, a Will tells people how you want things distributed in the case of your death.  But the Will is the only part of your Estate Planning process that most people could do without.  In fact, if you have a spouse and children (and all of your children are also the children of your spouse), then the Commonwealth of Virginia has a 'default' plan that distributes your estate to those family members even if you don't have a Will

But, if you are not able to make decisions for yourself (whether because of an accident, illness, or other incapacity) you need to have someone else make those decisions for you.  You can plan for this yourself, by preparing the appropriate Power Of Attorney, or your family can go through a court process to have someone appointed to take care of you and your affairs.
